Bobcat Press LLC (“Bobcat Press,” “we,” “us”) operates bobcat.press. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit an inquiry form, you provide your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message. If you become a Bobcat Press author, we also collect the information needed to publish your book: your legal name, author name, book details, and an author bio and photo you supply for your author page.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. This includes your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We do not use this to identify you personally.
What we do with it
We use your information to respond to your inquiry, to publish and list your book if you become an author, and to improve the site. That’s all.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email unless you ask us to.
Who else sees it
We use third-party services to run the site — a web host, an email delivery service, and analytics. They process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms. If you buy a book through Amazon or another retailer, that transaction is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
Author pages are public. If you publish with Bobcat Press, your name, bio, photo, and book details appear publicly on this site and in book industry databases. That’s the point of the service.
How long we keep it
Inquiry messages are kept as long as they’re useful and then deleted. Author records are kept indefinitely, since an ISBN and a publication record are permanent by nature.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email editor@bobcat.press and we’ll do it.
We can’t retract an ISBN registration or a published book’s metadata — those live in industry databases outside our control — but we can remove your author page and any information we hold directly.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can block them in your browser; the site will still work.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Material changes will be flagged on the site.

These terms govern your use of bobcat.press and any publishing services you purchase from Bobcat Press LLC.
What we are
Bobcat Press is an independent publishing imprint. We provide a publishing credential — not editorial, design, production, or marketing services.
What the service includes
When you purchase a Bobcat Press publishing package, you receive:
- An ISBN registered to your book with Bobcat Press as publisher of record
- The Bobcat Press imprint listed on your book’s metadata and retail listings
- The Bobcat Press colophon for use on your copyright page
- An official letter of publication on Bobcat Press letterhead
- A listing in the Bobcat Press catalog
- An author page on bobcat.press
What it does not include
Editing. Cover design. Interior layout. Printing. Distribution setup. Marketing. Sales. Publicity. We do not do these things, and buying the package does not obligate us to.
Your rights and ours
You keep everything. You retain full copyright in your work. You retain 100% of all sales proceeds, forever. Bobcat Press claims no ownership interest in your book and takes no royalty.
Bobcat Press appears as publisher of record for the purpose of the ISBN and imprint listing. That is the extent of our role.
You grant us permission to display your book’s title, cover, description, and your author bio and photo on bobcat.press and in promotional material for the imprint.
What you promise us
- The work is yours. You own it, or you have the rights to publish it.
- It doesn’t infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- It isn’t defamatory, unlawful, or plagiarized.
- The information you give us is accurate.
You are responsible for your book’s content. If a claim is brought against Bobcat Press because of your book, you agree to cover the cost of defending it.
What we can decline
Bobcat Press is a curated imprint. We reserve the right to decline any submission, for any reason, before publication.
After publication, we reserve the right to withdraw the Bobcat Press imprint from a title — and to remove it from our catalog and site — if we learn that the work infringes third-party rights, was misrepresented to us, or exposes Bobcat Press to legal or reputational risk. Where we can, we’ll talk to you first.
ISBNs
ISBNs issued under Bobcat Press are assigned by us, one per title per format. They may not be resold, transferred, or reassigned to another book or another publisher. ISBNs are assigned only to titles submitted to and accepted by Bobcat Press.
Payment and refunds
Fees are one-time and payable in advance. See our Refund Policy.
Limits
We provide the service as-is. We don’t guarantee sales, reviews, retail acceptance, or any particular outcome. Retailers, distributors, and industry databases are outside our control.
To the extent the law allows, Bobcat Press’s total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you purchased governs your purchase.
